Q: How Many People Can Go on a Boat?
A: It depends on the size and type of the boat, but the maximum passengers for any of our rental boats is 12 people. If you have more than 12 in your party, we can put together multiple boats, giving you your very own Armada…Congratulations, Commodore!
Q: What Happens If It Rains?
A: Most of the time, even if it is raining on St John or St Thomas, the captain can find you some sun on other Islands. If it’s just going to be a really lousy day, or if the seas are too rough, the Captain will let us know and we will reschedule you or refund your deposit.
Q: Is There Food or Drinks on Board?
A: Yes, you can bring food and drinks on the boat. We will have ice and a cooler for you.
Q: Where Do You Pick Me Up?
A: The boats are based out of numerous marinas around St Thomas.Your Reservation Confirmation will give you the address where your boat is located. Some Hotels, such as the Ritz, on St Thomas and Caneel Bay Resort on St John allow us to pick you up at your hotel. Please contact us to see if we can pick you up at your hotel.
Q: Do I Need a Passport?
A: If you are a U.S.citizen, you DO NOT need a passport to charter a boat and explore the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you wish to go to the British Virgin Islands, EVERYONE in your party must have a valid passport. In addition, a $40 per person fee is to be paid in cash to the BVI Customs people. The Captain will help you with the paperwork.
Q: Can I Tip The Captain?
A: Yes!, Tipping the captain for outstanding service is greatly appreciated. Like the bartenders and wait staff in the Caribbean, captains and crew on boats work for gratuity as well.
